Elaine Velma Lowes (Crewson)
(July 16, 1943 – February 5, 2026)
Of Guelph, passed after a brief illness in her 83rd year. Laine leaves behind a daughter that loves her more than words, Raegan (Sheri) Lowes of Guelph and is predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Johnny Lowes also of Guelph.
Beloved daughter of the late Wilma and Gordon Crewson of Guelph. Dear sister to the late Carl Crewson and Jack Crewson of Ancaster, sister in law to Nancy Crewson of Baden and Bev Crewson of Ancaster. She was also aunt to Carolyn, Jennifer and Leslie.
Laine was a longtime employee of the University of Guelph and proud creator of the Recreaction brochure, she was friendly and kind impacting everyone she came in contact with, her many lifelong friends could attest to that. She had a great love for all animals and generously supported many local charities.
For her warriors’ body it’s finally time to rest but her kind and gentle soul continues on and will always be remembered.
In the words of Vera Lynn; We’ll meet again… I love you Mom
