Harding, Frederick Earl “Fred” April 1st, 1951-February 6, 2026.
Fred passed away at Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus, Ontario on Feb. 6th, 2026, in his 75th year after dealing with many health issues.
Beloved husband of Catherine (Cathy) Harding-Burton. Survived by stepdaughter Ellen Tobin and grand-daughter Chloe Calver, Brothers Donnie and Lloyd Harding of Guelph and Nephews Trevor, Adam and Chad Harding, and many cousins.
Brother in law of Clifford and Patsy Burton, Cape Breton NS, Bill and Candace Burton, Elmwood ON, Charl Burton, Guelph, Joanne and Marty White of Woodstock, ON and Lois Hartwick (Roy d:1999)
Predeceased by parents Roy and Dorothy Harding formerly of Rockwood, Ontario, and Brothers Gordon, Keith and Allan Harding.
Fred farmed in Eramosa Township, played slow-pitch ball and was a member of the Fergus Curling Club.
Before Freds retirement he worked at Edge Mutual Insurance (formerly Peel-Maryborough Ins) in Drayton, ON as a Loss Prevention Representative. During that time he made many friendships.
When not working, you could always find him on a golf course playing with anyone who loved the game as much as he did.
He got into classic cars, flying out to BC to pick up his 2002 Pontiac Trans-AM Limited edition, canary yellow with black ragtop. He was so proud of this car.
He leaves behind a long list of acquaintances & friends whose lives will be forever touched by knowing him.

As per Fred’s wishes cremation has taken place and no visitation or services will be held.

A tree will be planted in memory of Frederick E. Harding in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
