WALKER, James (Jim) Bruce – Passed away peacefully at Guelph General Hospital on Friday, February 7, 2025, at the age of 93.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Joan (nee Malloy). He was also the proud father of Linda (Mike), Brad (Ruth), Sandy (Joe), Sharon (Nelson) and Martin (Taunya). He was also Papa to 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Also survived by sisters Doris Greer, Florence Lace and Ruth Dunbar (Bill) and sisters-in-law Joyce Barrett and Bonnie Malloy.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Culjak, the Palliative Care Team and the nurses on the 7th Floor at Guelph General Hospital for their outstanding care and compassion.
As per Jim’s wishes, a private family service will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, followed by interment at Woodlawn Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Wall-Custance Funeral Home and Chapel, 206 Norfolk Street, Guelph, ON N1H 4K3, 519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of James Walker to the Guelph General Hospital Foundation.
A tree will be planted in memory of James (Jim) B. Walker in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
