Janie Elizabeth Keizerwaard (nee Williamson)
Janie passed away peacefully on March 24, 2026 at Hospice Wellington in Guelph, after living courageously with cancer for fifteen months. She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Andy, who supported her with care and devotion throughout her illness. She was predeceased by her son, Jeffery and parents Ruth (Susie) and Charles (Chuck) and brother and sister-in law Rick and Mary Lyn. Devoted sister to her brothers Larry (Marcia) and Stewart (Diane). Fondly remembered by daughter-in law Ann Dewar and her son Brian Jacob and cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews.
After her retirement in marketing communications, she became a valued volunteer for a number of charitable organizations notably the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Guelph. Her warmth, generosity and hard work will be greatly missed by the staff and volunteers there. Her creative gifts were reflected in her home décor, watercolour art and eclectic garden art. She spent many happy hours working in her garden and enjoying the beautiful abundance of her labour.
Thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Hospice Wellington for the special care and compassion through her final journey. Special thank you to Dr. Courtney Bell.
As Janie wished, cremation has taken place. Her celebration of life will take place on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 1:00 pm at Springfield Golf and Country Club, 2054 Gordon St., Guelph. As per Andy’s request, please dress casual. No suits allowed.
