John H. Mason

MASON, John Howard – After a long battle with stroke, passed peacefully at the Guelph General Hospital on Monday, November 26, 2012, with his family by his side. He leaves his loving wife of 59 years, Jeanette, his son Derek and wife Betty. Sadly missed by his grandchildren and great grandson. John also leaves his loving sisters Joan Rosch of Bracebridge and Shirley Hollingshead of Oshawa. Predeceased by sister Helen Mucci of Vancouver. John was Director of Administrative Services at the University of Guelph from 1977 until his retirement. Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, Wednesday (1:00-3:30 p.m.). Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at 3:30 p.m. Memorial contributions to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 204-21 Surrey St. W., Guelph, ON, N1H 3R3 would be appreciated.
