M. Anne Barber

BARBER, Margaret Anne – Of Guelph, passed away at home peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at the age of 58. 

Beloved wife of 40 years to Ray Barber. Loved mother of Ryan (Dana) Barber, Alishia Barber (Scott Ferguson), Justin Barber, and Krista Barber (Justin Crep). Loving grandmother of Mya MacMullin, Thomas Lowe, Rylie Barber, and Angus Ferguson. Dear sister of Marijke Koppenaal de Boer (Gordy Breese), Mary (Brian) Worth, and Don McHardy. Anne is predeceased by her parents Irving and Nellie McHardy.  She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Anne was born in Fergus, Ontario. She was known by many in school as Inch. She worked in the security field for many years, where she met and made so many friends. Anne was a bright and popular person who always liked to make others feel included. Anne has always put others before herself and loved to organize events. She organized a reunion for her school mates around 18 years ago and was accompanied by her two daughters on most occasions. We got to see our mom’s dreams of having a big reunion with many different years in August 2022. Our mom’s biggest hobby was crocheting and sublimation. We have made so many memories with our mom while we were growing up. She was an amazing wife, mom and nana.

Friends and family will be received for visitation at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.  A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 pm.
