SHORT, Robert Thomas – It is with great sorrow we announce the unexpected passing of Robert Thomas Short on Thursday, September 18th, 2025 in his 57th year.

Robert is survived by his son Nathaniel, his brother Phillip and his sister Michelle, as well as many nieces and nephews. Rob is predeceased by his loving wife Pamela of 22 years, his mother Sadie and his father Rowland.

Robert was born in Guelph, Ontario and met his wife while working at Little Tikes in 1988. Eleven years of friendship blossomed into a rich and beautiful marriage on September 7th, 1999. His son Nathaniel was then later born December 24th, 2000.

Robert was a kind and compassionate man of God, who’s love, joy, and leadership will be greatly missed. His servant’s heart and wisdom he shared impacted the lives of everyone he encountered: his friend’s, family, colleagues, and Christian Life Church which became a second home in his life.

Thank you everyone for all of your love and support. We have been deeply moved by the amazing generosity shown, not only in financial support, but in so many other meaningful ways.

The visitation and funeral service will take place on Saturday, October 18th, 2025 at Parkview Church (89 Speedvale Ave East, Guelph, ON). Visitation will be 10:00am – 11:00am, followed by a celebration of life from 11:00am – 12:00pm. Afterwards there will be a reception from 12:00pm – 2:00pm; food will be provided. A tree will be planted in memory of Robert T. Short in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
