Ronald Jay Myhr
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear brother Ronald Jay Myhr, who left us peacefully on September 2, 2025 at the age of 71. Ron was a gifted artist with a lifelong love of music. He was a talented keyboardist and earned the nickname “Rock’n Ronnie” from playing the Hammond organ. He enjoyed performing in bands and jamming with friends. Ron was happiest on the golf course or by a lake building campfires and reportedly having “cosmic experiences” while fishing. Ron had his share of life struggles and projected a tough persona but underneath it all he was a kind, sweet soul. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him but never forgotten.
He is survived and greatly missed by his brother Ken Myhr (Katrina Anderson) of Blue Mountain, sister Terri Myhr of Victoria, and many cousins and friends near and far. Ron was a proud uncle to his nephew Aiden and niece Charlotte, and even though he lived at a distance, he held them close to his heart.
As per Ron’s wishes, cremation has taken place and we will have a private gathering at a future date. Arrangements entrusted to the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com.
“And though you want to last forever / You know you never will /
You know you never will / And the good-bye makes the journey harder still.”
(Cat Stevens – “O Very Young”)
A tree will be planted in memory of Ronald J. Myhr in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
