KITCHEN, Sylvester – On September 18th at 4:10pm our world forever changed. Sylvester (Dick) Kitchen at the tender age of 41 passed peacefully surrounded by love, at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital.
He is now resting in the loving arms of his late nan (Nell). Syl is the loving son of Lilian and Sylvester, best friend and brother to Jennifer (Dean), wonderful uncle to Miguel, proud father of Jessie, soulmate of 13 years to Michelle, incredible step father to Joseph and Emma, amazing nephew to George and Bob and cousin to Georgie. He will always be remembered by his in-laws Larry and Velvet. Brother in-law Scott (Kim) and sister in-law Velvet (Colt). Remembered by his nieces and nephews Jaidyn, Natalie, Nicholis, Destiny, Leah, Bentley, the Power family and the extensive amount of extended family and friends. Syl will be fondly remembered and missed by the baseball and hockey community, as well as his brothers and sisters in the Wellington Bad Bones Riding Club.
Though burdened by sadness, we continue to reflect with gratitude for the time we had with Syl on this earth and the memories made. He was known in life for his kindness and selflessness and in death that will not differ. In death, Syl gave others life by donating his organs, we honour this act of kindness in the true formation of a hero. We all have wounded hearts and will grieve your absence for a lifetime. Our wounded hearts will slowly heal but the scar of losing you will forever remain. Know you are loved forever and always. Rest Peacefully.
We would like to thank all the Doctors and Nurses in the ICU at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, as well as Wall-Custance for your kindness and compassion.
Arrangements entrusted to the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 519-822-0051 or wallcustance.com. Condolences can be sent to the family via the funeral home website below Sylvester’s notice.
