Ted Vandervelde

VANDERVELDE, Ted – Ted passed away peacefully on Friday, June 27, 2025 with family by his side.

Ted was born in 1938 in Friesland, Netherlands. As an 18 year old he arrived alone in Canada at the Halifax Harbour, in 1956. He married Femmy in 1963. They purchased their first home and family farm in 1965. Ted will always be remembered as an extremely proud dairy farmer who called Lucknow home.

He is survived by his wife Femmy and his children Paul (Bonnie), Gwen (Joe), Wilma (Daniel), John (Donna) and Mike. Pake (Ted) will be missed by his grandchildren Megan (Sean), Taylor (Ursula), Lauren (Zak), Blake, Ryan and Jared. Great grandchildren are Kayden, Skyla and Jackson.

Ted’s funeral service will be held Friday, July 4, 2025 at Wall-Custance Funeral Home and Chapel, located at 206 Norfolk Street, Guelph, Ontario. Visitation from 10-11:30 am followed by a service at 11:30 with refreshments to follow. For those who are unable to attend the service but wish to watch remotely, you can do so via YouTube by clicking this link.

Family and friends are welcome to attend the graveside service Saturday, July 5th, 2025 at 11 am at Greenhill Cemetery, 86511 Lucknow Line, Lucknow Ontario.
