Theresa Ann Brezynskie (née Broeckel)
January 31, 1950 – March 11, 2026
With great sadness, the family of Theresa Ann Brezynskie (née Broeckel) announces her peaceful passing on March 11, 2026, at the age of 76, at Heritage House in St. Jacobs.
Theresa was the beloved wife of Leonard Brezynskie and the devoted mother of Kevin (Cynthia) and Ross (Paulette). She was the cherished sister of Mary (John), Cliff (Jeanette), and David (Kathy), and was predeceased by her siblings Hugh, Arthur, and Lynda. She will be deeply missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
Born to Fred and Mamie Broeckel (née Land), Theresa grew up surrounded by family, friends, and love—something she carried with her throughout her life. She found joy in gatherings with those she loved and was always eager to attend any occasion that brought people together.
Theresa loved camping, boating, and spending time outdoors—whether at Peterborough, Orillia, Conestoga Lake, or any of the many beautiful places she and her family explored. She enjoyed picnics in the park and could often be found strolling through car, boat, and trailer shows with friends and family. A talented craftsperson, she created beautiful lawn chairs, sewing projects, and other handmade treasures that she shared generously with others.
She was also known for her wonderful cooking, never missing a chance to bring her famous devilled eggs to any potluck or gathering. Theresa had a soft spot for animals—especially cats—and she always talked about how much she loved them, never missing a chance to befriend one.
In quieter moments, Theresa enjoyed watching her favorite TV shows, The Young and the Restless and Days of Our Lives, often relaxing in the evenings with family. She also loved playing cards with friends and family, laughing and sharing stories that created lasting memories.
Theresa will be remembered for her selflessness, her caring nature, and her deep devotion to family and friends. She found joy in making others happy and always put their needs before her own. Her kindness and warmth touched everyone who knew her.
Her warmth, laughter, and love will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at St. Joseph’s Church Guelph, 409 Paisley Rd, Guelph at 11 am with a reception to follow in the church hall. Arrangements entrusted to the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com.
