McCLANAHAN, Wayne Douglas – Of Guelph, passed away at Hospice Wellington on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the age of 65.
Loved father of Madilyn McClanahan. Dear brother of the late Robert Ament, the late Wendy Ament (Martin Gilkin), and Bradley McClanahan (Yvonne Baumgaertner). Beloved son of William and the late Jean McClanahan. Also survived by his nieces and nephew; Lyndsie Gilkin, Alanna Gilkin, Katie McClanahan, and David McClanahan. Wayne will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
Wayne was raised in Northern Ontario where he learned to hunt and fish. He continued these hobbies up until his passing. He enjoyed his time spent with his dear friends at the hunt camp. As a young fellow, Wayne spent 4 years serving in the Navy. Recently, he was working at Cargill Meats where he made countless friends who were always there for him. Wayne’s family meant the world to him and he always looked forward to the family gatherings and having great conversations.
Wayne will be remembered for his sense of humour as well as his generosity. Any problem you had, he would be there helping. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
A visitation will be held at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, on Friday, November 21, 2025 from 11:00am to 12:00pm. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 12:00pm. Reception to follow in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre.
