William (Bill) H. Hockney

HOCKNEY, William (Bill) H. – It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of William (Bill) Harold Hockney of Guelph, Ontario on April 16, 2026, at the age of 69.

Bill is survived by the love of his life, Sandra (nee Willis) of 47 years, his children Tanya, Bradley, and Amanda Polsterer (Charly). He was the loving Papa to Makenna, Dominic, Ryder, Alex and Chayce. Predeceased by his parents John Hockney (2013) and Margaret (nee McEwen 2016), and his in-laws John Willis (1977) and Margaret (nee Slater 2022).

He is survived by his siblings Lynda McLoughlin (Robert 2025) of Chatham, Bev Lee (Ron) of Ailsa Craig, Robert Hockney (Robin) of Chatham, and Lori Armstrong (Steven 2008) of Fergus.  He is also survived by his sister- in- laws Margaret Hamelin (Frank) of Sarnia, Jacqueline Fanelli (Sil) of Sarnia, Brenda Bramham (Rick) of Sarnia, Debra Willis of Sarnia, Cynthia Sazonov (2006) (Peter 2011), and Shellie Wells of Sarnia.

Bill will be deeply missed by his many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.

Bill spent his professional life driving transport trucks and retired from the road in 2019. Fishing, NASCAR and playing Toon Blast on his phone were some of his many passions along with spending time with his family, grandchildren, and many friends.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 9th, 2026, from 12:00pm – 4:00pm at Victoria Rec Centre, 151 Victoria Rd. N., Guelph, Ontario.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be directed to the Canadian Cancer Society.
